Lighting & Posing
This month’s speakers are Sharon and Scot Benton
Sharon and Scot tell us:
“We believe that lighting and posing go together. Can’t have one without the other. We touch a little on basic posing and focus on the details that define professional photographers. We do this with a PowerPoint presentation and live models.
Scot’s strength is lighting while Sharon’s is posing. We show how we work together to create the images we are known for. We also discuss our path in photography and how we separate and distinguish ourselves from other photographers. Our presentation is fun and upbeat. We encourage questions during the presentation.”
Scot and Sharon are a husband and wife photography team living in Rescue, Ca. They enjoy being surrounded by their five children and two grandbabies. Their studio is located on their 1.5 acre property and they thoroughly enjoy their recently completed backlot they have been working on this past year.
They love talking with other photographers and sharing thoughts and ideas. Sharon can rarely pass a thrift store without salivating and hunting for cool treasures for the studio. She had a bit of an obsession with fun chairs and loves to recreate her findings with spray paints. Along with his love for lighting and underwater photography, Scot enjoys building and creating new sets for their studio. Together they claim they are two halves that make a good whole and love being a team.
