about the program "Great Moments"
"Simple tools and techniques to
help make better moment photos for wedding and portrait photographers" This talk with include thoughts about the camera, lenses and settings that he uses to capture moments as they happen.
Also included will be discussion about the use of on-camera, TTL flash in ways that are fast, easy and consistent. In addition, he will discuss simple and effective post production tools for
maximum efficiency (and less time on the computer).
about the speaker Gero is a documentary photographer
who shoots commissioned weddings and portraits from his home base in Ladera Ranch, CA.
Prior to this, he spent nearly 20 years in daily journalism - first on staff for The Chicago Tribune (both in Chicago and in the paper's Washington, DC bureau), then as a contract photographer for the French photo agency Sygma in DC, and finally he spent 12 years on staff with the Arizona
Republic in Phoenix.
He also has freelanced extensively for magazines such as Time, People, US News & World Report and Sports Illustrated.
In addition to his photography, he currently teaches two courses at betterphoto.com and is the author of the book, Digital
Wedding Photography. Paul is a Fuji Talent Team member as well as a Canon Explorer of Light and Lexar Elite Photographer. His web address is paulfgero.com.
