Scholarships

Scholarships available to PPGBA Members

PPGBA honors and recognizes the founders of this association, one of the largest local chapters of the Professional Photographers of America through a scholarship program. This Founder’s Scholarship is designed to help the recipient stay current with new styles and trends in photography. Any photographer may apply for the scholarship. Click here for more info.

In addition to the above scholarships, in the beginning of each year PPGBA awards three additional tuition-only scholarships that may be used for a Golden Gate School course or PPGBA workshop:

The Ted Gurney Service Scholarship: one per year for a volunteer who is recognized for exceptional contributions to the association

The New Member Scholarship: a random drawing from all the new members joining over the past year. This scholarship honors John Peterson Jr. for the years 2010, 2011 & 2012.

The General Member Scholarship: a random drawing – 1 chance for every member, plus each time a member enters print competition they receive 1 additional chance in the drawing.
